About Mike

Hello, my name is Mike. I am a graduate-level student in the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program at Winebrenner Theological Seminary and currently serve as an intern counselor at Dignity Counseling Collective. I consider it an honor and a privilege to walk alongside others on their path toward healing and wholeness. I believe every person is created with dignity and deserving of respect, and that meaningful change and real transformation can happen when a person is willing to take the courageous step toward growth by reaching out for assistance. My role as a counselor is to help people discover that change together.

In addition to my clinical training, I am a state-certified peer specialist with an emphasis in mental health challenges. For the past fifteen years, I have served in leadership and assisted in the development of Freedom Fighters, a biblically based recovery program for individuals struggling with sex addiction. During this time, I have led small groups, trained leaders, and mentored many participants one-on-one. Inspired by this work, I completed a Lay Counseling program in 2014 and have since provided pastoral counseling in various roles throughout the Fox Valley and the Milwaukee area.

 I am passionate about creating a safe space for individuals to explore their stories, develop their strengths, and move toward greater healing, freedom, and life! One of the beautiful things about the counseling relationship is that you don’t have to walk this path alone. I’m grateful for the opportunity to get to know you and look forward to walking with you in this season of your life.
