About Katelyn

Hello! My name is Katelyn, and I am excited to work together. It takes a lot of courage and strength to seek support, especially when it is the last thing you want to do. Let me tell you through personal experience, this too shall pass! It is okay to say you need help. I specialize in finding your strengths and capitalizing on them. Therapy should not be feared; it should be celebrated. All you must do is get your feet wet. I’ll help with diving in.

I received my Master's of Science degree in Counseling, with an emphasis in community counseling, from Concordia University Wisconsin, and my Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my main work is with adults using a behavioral approach. I have extensive training in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), DBT-prolonged exposure (PE), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), as well as specialized training in the treatment of self-harm, suicidality, and crisis intervention.

Throughout all my experiences I have gained the knowledge and understanding of how challenging and rewarding it can be working with vulnerable populations. I am confident in my ability to assist my clients in bettering themselves as they see fit. I pride myself in the ability to encourage growth, independence, and responsibility in every person I counsel.
